Whole Body Breathing Daylong
— Concentration & Insight

Course Description

The Buddha emphasized the importance of concentration and meditative absorption in the process of awakening. But many meditators find concentration difficult to attain. As a meditative technique, Whole Body Breathing is a way of sensitizing to the breath so that ease and pleasure can naturally arise. When the mind finds pleasure in its meditation object, it can become absorbed more easily. Absorption leads to stillness, which becomes a platform for penetrating insight into the nature of all phenomena as stressful, impermanent, and impersonal, thus liberating the heart. As we become more intimate with our breathing, we discover the possibility that each breath can reveal the whole of the dharma, from suffering to the end of suffering. The day will include led meditations, talks, and periods of Q&A.
